Often confused with Wesley Snipes, P-Diddy, Tyrese D-Teflon’s acting career began in 1996 after being scouted out by his former talent agent Amy Antal from the IN Group Model & Talent Agency where she approached him and said he had a good look and that that he should consider getting into film & television.
Since breaking out onto the scene in 1996 He has appeared on networks such as CTV, FX, CBS, BET, ABC, FOX, MTV, and the Spike Network.
He booked his first gig a commercial for a role he landed with no prior acting appearance where he co-starred with The World’s Fastest Man Donovan Bailey which was a promo commercial during the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. He followed up booking various commercials for Mike’s Hard Lemonade, Degree Antiperspirant Arid Dry.
In 1998 he officially signed with the I.N Group and started taking acting classes by acting coach David Shark Fralick from the HWFAA and he later and shortly after receiving his SAG Card was coaxed into by Amy in going to an audition reading for a role as a lawyer for an upcoming television sci-fi series.
Somehow to his surprise, he won over the producers landing and booking his first prime time tv series lead role as the witty & charming ladies man portraying the character of Bad Boy Prosecutor Chris Darden alongside Carrie Ann Moss who starred as Lucinda Scott in the popular Sci-Fi drama prime time TV Show “F/X: The Series.
FX The Series was loosely based on the two F/X feature films stars Cameron Daddo as Rollie Tyler & Christina Cox as Angie Ramirez, “DTeflon as Chris Darden, Carrie Ann Moss as Lucinda Scott, Kevin Dobson as Leo McCarthy,
Jacqueline Torres as Mira Sanchez Richard Waugh as Marvin VanDuran.
Together, they would use special effects and canny police work to bring down criminals who might otherwise have escaped justice.
D-Teflon made his first big-screen appearance in minor roles in Collateral as Kip The Bodyguard, and in Assault on Precinct 13. Since then he has appeared in a dozen Blockbuster Hollywood films and independent and shorts.
He has worked in supporting and lead roles alongside highly regarded actors, including Tom Cruise, Jaime Foxx, Lawrence Fishburne, Robin Williams, and Maria Bello Kiefer Sutherland just to name a few.
Since then still growing every day as an actor he plans to keep developing his craft has appeared on the prime time tv small screen and the big screen over 30 times in supporting guest and lead roles in shows such as Rookie Blue, King, Dan for Mayor, The Border,1800-The Missing, Sue Thomas FBI.
He won for best new Actor starring as Jason in BloodBath Jason Vs Micheal in the 2012 Terror Film Festival which also won the Best Horror at the Sarasota Film Festival.
