With a career in the industry that spans well over a decade his love for the Entertainment industry has influenced him to explore all avenues of the business, including Film & Television, Celebrity Protection, Model & Talent Management, Public Relations, Media Marketing, Nightclub Management, working at the highest level with the top industry professionals for the past 30yrs.
Growing up in New York City and later when his family relocated to Toronto Canada he spent his time in high school as an all-star athlete set on a fast track to a sure pro career he played semi-pro baseball which he gained a scholarship and one year before he could go to the next phase plans came to a crashing end in 1993 after first getting hit in the face by a fastball that broke his cheekbone causing damage to his vision and then the same year a major career-ending injury playing football forced him to walk away from both and give up his dreams of becoming a baseball player.

After leaving high school in 1994 with his sports days behind him and being out on his own he decided to revive his dance career but in a different direction so in 1997 full time stepped into the nightclub industry after a woman by the name of Pilar Cote saw scouted him out in a dance battle and offered him a gig at the club to work as a Go-Go Cage dancer at one of hottest clubs in Toronto Canada RPM Nightclub.
That was his start point in the industry working his way up to club promoter running to security manager then eventually operations manager/co-owner and was a pioneer in the ’90s in the nightlife scene running some of the most successful clubs in Toronto Canada and Daytona Beach Florida USA.

How the Journey Started...
CHOREOGRAPHER
DTeflon’s career in entertainment started in the early ’80s to 90s, under the name Lil Tef worked as a backup dancer for Jordan Knight from New Kids on the block and later worked as a music video choreographer for music stars such as Robin S, C&C Music Factory and opened for acts such as N-SYNC & 98 Degrees and Ce Ce Peniston
DANCER
His first television break came when he appeared on an episode of dance time filmed in NYC on MTV opening for the legendary Shannon and later appeared in various dance music videos and was featured weekly on the show Electric Circus and as well Dance Nation in the 90s in various late night infomercials and for the legendary Chris Sheppherd Pirate Radio commercials for Energy 108.
1993-2008
KING OF CLUBS
Formerly dubbed the king of clubs due to his influence on the nightlife industry for over a decade from 1993-2016,DTeflon a former club nightclub manager turned owner at the Fuel Entertainment Complex in Daytona Beach and legendary party and concert promoter in USA & Canada
DTeflon worked in the early 90s as a promoter working under contract launching several prominent New York City nightclubs, including The Limelight, Palladium, and Tunnel owned by Peter Gatien.
Already known in the early ’90s as part of the club kids and a well-known dancer and socialite he relocated to Toronto Canada started up and ran along with business partners Bobby Clarke and Chantal Clermont who formed the Smooth Entertainment later changed when Bobby and Chantal left the industry to pursue other business ventures he rebranded the company in 1995 with a new partner Chris Stewart together launched the Alliance Entertainment Group and a nightlife management division under the umbrella of the AEG Events Group
The AEG Events Group brought and created some of the most popular and successful nightclub hot spots in Toronto Canada RPM and later returned where he stayed for 15yrs at the Guvernment Nightclub,
He was responsible for some of the biggest nights at NRG, Fusion Lounge, Powerbar, Industry Nightclub Pearl Lounge, Light Nightclub, Embassy, The Ballroom, Helium,Oz,Elbow Room Nightclub,
He decided he was tired of the Canadian cold and decided to relocate to Daytona Beach Florida in 2004-2006 to come run one of the biggest clubs in Florida Fuel Complex in Daytona Beach where he was until the club closed in 2006.
He returned to Canada to handle the day-to-day operations at Light Nightclub & then closed out his nightlife career at Embassy Nightclub in 2010 when both clubs were forced to close their doors after being forced out by the city for condo development.
EVENT HOST/MC
He split his time living between Toronto, Florida & Los Angeles and stayed actively involved in the club scene as a bar rescue consultant helping failing bars and nightclubs turn a profit till 2016 before fully leaving the nightclub industry to concentrate full time on film, television, and modeling projects.
He now offers his services part-time and is available for hire for bar management consulting services and startup management for new bar & nightclub owners and as well as bar rescue services for various nightclubs across the country.
DTeflon in his off time is often booked to host various nightclubs, weddings and private charity events as a Keynote Speaker and artistic director at the AEG Live Soiree Film & Television Festival as well as an MC at BET’s annual Spring Bling in Daytona Beach Florida & Evening with the Stars Kids in Need Celebrity Gala

BREAKING INTO THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY:
A former talent agent with Christian & Associates Model & Talent Agency with a keen eye for scouting talent he felt his skills weren’t be utilized so he wanted to branch out and decide to go on his own combining his skills in marketing and promotion and as well talent development a longtime fan of professional wrestling thru working the nightlife industry during the WWE attitude era he became friends with a lot of the professional wrestlers that then led him to his dream job working for the WWE
He joined the company in 1998 working till joining the security team looking after some of the top talent from WWE at House shows and live shows at night during the Monday Night Wars and during the day working for the marketing and events division setting up exclusive fan meet & greet events during the WWE Tours and creating some of the company’s top marketing campaigns at that time.
His creative talent led him to become a writer and producer being involved in put together the biggest show of them all WWE Wrestlemania.

He worked for the company for 4 years under contract then with now having built many relationships in the entertainment industry along with his former business partner Samantha Z together they launched talent management division AEMT Management under the Alliance Entertainment Umbrella a professional model & talent management consulting PR Firm where she stayed on at the company until 2004 and left to pursue other ventures.
DTeflon’s model management division launched the careers of his first clients for International Film Actress/Swimsuit FHM Supermodel Amrit Dhaliwal and Social Media Sensation Model Aylen Alvarez from 2004-2012.

Seeing if he still had the eye he moved back to Miami and it was there he discovered 6yrs & launched the career for now-famous internet sensation & social media influencer Model, Aylen Alvarez, till 2012 before he decided to part ways to work with other models and talent such as the late Natalie Love and Katie Traverso
He still continues today to guide and mentor and manage exclusive professional models & talent who are hand-picked by him such as Model Brandy Starr, Shannon Kohl, Rochelle Gotti, Jacey Marie, Diana Kay & others from the film & television.

He also currently manages Ricardo Walker who is the World’s #1 Michael Jackson Impersonator along with the world-famous with over 80 Million followers the Ricardo Walker Dance Crew.
BREAKING INTO FILM & TELEVISION
D-Teflon started off in the late ’90s working as a P.A on an Internship learning the ropes of Development and Creative Affairs at Mirage Films working under mentor Academy Award Winning Producer/Director Sydney Pollack.
During his tenure, he was responsible for international sales & distribution as well as working as an assistant associate producer and writer for Pollack & produced more than a dozen films for the company.
Since then he has worked for networks such as CTV, BET, ABC, CBS, Spike, Star producing and writing for various tv syndicated series and feature films.

Often confused with Wesley Snipes, P-Diddy, Tyrese D-Teflon’s acting career began in 1996 after being scouted out by his former talent agent Amy Antal from the IN Group Model & Talent Agency where she approached him and said he had a good look and that that he should consider getting into film & television.
Joining Actra in 1996 and then leaving to join SAG/Actra in 1998 he has been working as an Actor/Producer/Writer D-Teflon has built up over a dozen credits that include television, commercials & film.
